there are several categories that has emerged from the major broader category of engineering which are;
1. chemical engineering
2. civil engineering
3. electrical engineering
4. mechanical engineering
5.software engineering
6. system engineering.
the above broader categories are further subdivided into specific areas. for example in chemical engineering you can pursue any of the following engineerings: molecular engineering, material engineering, process engineering, corrossion engineering etc.
I think this question has been answered many times and therefore, I will probably opt to guide you on some of the available engineering courses at our local Universities as shown below;-
UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI
1. B.Sc. – (Civil Engineering)
2. B.Sc. – (Agricultural Engineering)
3. B.Sc. – (Electrical Engineering)
4. B.Sc. – (Mechanical Engineering)
5. B.Sc. – (Electrical & Electronics Eng.)
