      On average, a human being will produce 1.5 liters of saliva per day. Since the saliva is rich in glycoprotein, these will help make the bacteria stick together and ease their clearance from the oral cavity into the stomach, where they will be be killed by the acidic environment.
      However, remember that the amount of saliva will also depend on the health of the person and the weather; in drier weather, ur likely to produce less saliva than in we weather due to dehydration etc
