Kenneth Ronoh answered on 4 Jul 2017:
Hi Amani,
I am a Telecommunications engineer by training. Where I was trained on how to setup and manage electronics and electrical devices associated with the communication systems. Tele means distance and therefore telecommunication is simply the science of exchanging information over distances. e.g the process of making a phone call and sending an SMS and so forth, not forgetting emails and Facebook.
The other side is, I am a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics ) trainer where I teach young people to use their skills to innovate. STEAM is exciting and students learn a lot from building wearables, robots, apps and electronics.
Thank You for your quiz.

Peter Nguhiu answered on 5 Jul 2017:
Hi Amani, I’m a health economist (therefore not an engineer). Health economists provide technical advise and support regarding how resources are used in healthcare, and how that affects the kind of healthcare provided. I’m specifically studying methods of assessing the extent of coverage with good quality healthcare, as a means of monitoring how countries are progressing in the direction of universal health coverage (“health for all”).
Here’s one link about health economics as a career if you’re interested in reading more about it.

To Amani: I am a research scientist in the field of space science. I studied physics at the university . My other technical skills are on satellite navigation and technology and I spend most of my time analyzing satellite data to understand the science dynamics. (in space science the word space should mean the region between the earth and the sun).
At pwani university I am employed as a lecturer in the Department of Physics.
